Tuesday marked a significant day in the Kemmu-Khan family. The actors observed Mahashivratri and Herath Poshte with a puja at their residence, and their daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu participated as well. Soha posted a video on Instagram featuring the family praying as one.

Kunal’s father performed the aarti for Lord Shiva and applied tikas on everyone. Inaaya participated in the ceremonies as well. She performed aarti with her mother, Soha, as the entire family gathered. Soha wrote in the post, “Herath Mubarak! #happymahashivratri love, peace, and prayers.” The family commemorates the day annually.

Herath is a Kashmiri festival observed on the 13th day of the waning phase of Phalguna, falling between February and March. It possesses cultural and socio-religious significance for the Kashmiri Pandits, who have persisted in celebrating the festival even after relocating due to the rise of militancy in the region. Herath is also referred to as the night of Hara, or Shiva. Mahashivratri takes place on February 26.

Kunal and his family belong to the Kashmiri Pandit community, whereas Soha is the child of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore. She wed Kunal on January 25, 2015, and recently marked ten years of their marriage. The couple celebrated the arrival of their first child, daughter Inaaya Naumi.

In the meantime, on the professional side, Kunal is recognized for his performances in movies like Raja Hindustani, Kalyug, Traffic Signal, Golmaal 3, Blood Money, Golmaal Again, and Lootcase. He was most recently spotted in his own direction, Madgaon Express.
