Lok Sabha passes Finance Bill 2025 with 35 amendments, Rajya Sabha next

The Finance Bill, 2025 was passed by the Lok Sabha on Tuesday with 35 government amendments.

Earlier today, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the amended Finance Bill 2025 in Parliament, requesting approval for key budget proposals. The Finance Bill 2025’s passage marks the end of the Lok Sabha’s role in the budget approval process, and it will now be considered by the Rajya Sabha.

 One of the amendments is the removal of a 6% digital tax on online advertisements.
