On Saturday, US President Donald Trump referred to Tehran as the “loser of the Middle East” following Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s apology to its neighbors for assaults carried out during its conflict with Israel and the US. Iran “will be hit very hard” today, he added.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Iran, which is being beat to HELL, has apologized and surrendered to its Middle East neighbors, and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore. This promise was only made because of the relentless U.S. and Israeli attack.”

The Republican leader claimed in his social media post that Iran was “looking to take over and rule the Middle East”.

“Iran is no longer the “Bully of the middle east,” they are, instead, “The loser of the middle east,” and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse!”, Trump said.

On Friday, Trump called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender” as the only way to put an end to hostilities and pledged to assist in rebuilding the nation’s economy in exchange for Tehran’s compliance and the installation of new leadership. Trump said that the United States and its allies would endeavor to bring Iran “back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before” in the event that the Islamic Republic submitted.

Pezeshkian assured his neighbors that unless “an attack on Iran originates from those countries,” an interim leadership council will decide not to lau nch any further missiles or attacks against them. But he said Tehran will “not surrender.” “The enemies must take their wish for the surrender of the Iranian people to their graves,” he said.

In a Friday television interview, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the “biggest bombing campaign” of the war was still to come.

Iran’s military might, leadership, and nuclear program have all been the targets of attacks by the US and Israel. The US has occasionally said that it wants to overthrow Iran’s government or install new leadership from within, which has caused the stated objectives and timetables for the war to change.According to officials in those nations, at least 1,230 people have died in Iran, over 200 in Lebanon, and 11 in Israel as a result of the fighting. There have been six US soldier deaths.

The authorities claimed to have triggered air defenses after multiple explosions were heard in Dubai on Saturday morning. When the warning went off, travelers waiting for planes out of Dubai International Airport—the busiest international airport in the world—were pushed into train tunnels at the expansive airfield.
