Lucknow Super Giants Rope in George Linde as Hasaranga Replacement for IPL 2026

The Lucknow Super Giants have signed South African all-rounder George Linde as a replacement for injured Sri Lankan star Wanindu Hasaranga in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026. The decision comes after Hasaranga was ruled out of the remainder of the tournament due to a hamstring injury.

Hasaranga, a key acquisition for the franchise, had been expected to play a vital role with his leg-spin and lower-order batting. However, his injury, sustained earlier in international cricket, has forced the team to look for alternatives midway through the season.
