In memory of Late Smt. Premlatta Marda and Late Shri Tarachand Marda, Marda Seva Trust organised the Tarachand–Premlatta Marda Memorial Award–2025 at Gyan Peeth High School this morning at 9 a.m. The ceremony was held in a dignified and respectful atmosphere.
On the occasion, the eldest daughter of Late Premlatta–Tarachand Marda, Mrs. Sushma Marda Mimani, distributed trophies and certificates to the students. Addressing the gathering, she said that returning to her alma mater after nearly 45 years was a moment of great pride and deep emotion for her. She recalled that she had spent her early school years at the same institution along with her brothers Hemant and Sharad, and her sisters Sangeeta and Mini.

Mrs. Mimani expressed her gratitude to the present principal, Mr. Deepak Sharma, and to all the teachers of the school. She stated that the values, discipline and guidance imparted by the teachers had played a significant role in shaping her life, for which she would always remain thankful.
Under this initiative of Marda Seva Trust, three students were conferred with the Best Student Award, which included certificates, medals/shields and books. In addition, a Student Scholarship Award of ₹6,000 will be awarded every year to one meritorious and economically deserving student to cover annual school fees. The beneficiary will be selected by the school principal.

The memorial award ceremony not only paid tribute to Late Premlatta Marda and Late Tarachand Marda, but also served as an प्रेरणादायक initiative to motivate students towards excellence, discipline and dedication to education.
