The legendary actor died suddenly in Kaua‘i, Hawaii, following a brief medical emergency. Born Carlos Ray Norris on March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma, Norris rose from modest beginnings to become a world-class martial artist before achieving international fame in films and television. He served in the United States Air Force, where he first developed his martial arts skills. Later, he founded his own style, Chun Kuk Do and the United Fighting Arts Federation, shaping the global martial arts community.

Norris became a Hollywood mainstay in the 1970s and 1980s with hits like “Missing in Action”, “Code of Silence”, and “The Delta Force”. His tough-guy screen persona made him a symbol of resilience and determination. Yet, it was his role as Cordell Walker in the television series “Walker, Texas Ranger”(1993–2001) that cemented his place in popular culture, earning him a devoted fan base across generations.
