Chuck Norris, the iconic martial artist and Hollywood action star, has passed away at the age of 86, his family confirmed. The legendary actor died suddenly in Kaua‘i, Hawaii, following a brief medical emergency. The family said he was surrounded by loved ones and died peacefully, requesting privacy during this difficult time.

Born Carlos Ray Norris on March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma, Norris rose from modest beginnings to become a world-class martial artist before achieving international fame in films and television. He served in the United States Air Force, where he first developed his martial arts skills. Later, he founded his own style, Chun Kuk Do and the United Fighting Arts Federation, shaping the global martial arts community.

Norris became a Hollywood mainstay in the 1970s and 1980s with hits like “Missing in Action”, “Code of Silence”, and “The Delta Force”. His tough-guy screen persona made him a symbol of resilience and determination. Yet, it was his role as Cordell Walker in the television series “Walker, Texas Ranger”(1993–2001) that cemented his place in popular culture, earning him a devoted fan base across generations.

Beyond his on-screen work, Norris became a viral cultural figure through the humorous “Chuck Norris Facts” memes, which exaggerated his strength and abilities. He embraced this internet fame, incorporating it into public appearances and writing.Off-screen, Norris was known for his dedication to family, faith, and philanthropy. He championed martial arts education for youth, authored books on fitness, self-discipline, and spirituality, and remained a role model for many aspiring martial artists and fans worldwide.

He is survived by his wife, Gena O’Kelley, his five children, and extended family. Tributes have poured in from fans, colleagues, and fellow actors worldwide, celebrating a career that spanned decades and inspired millions
