Maruti Suzuki vehicle sales rise marginally to 199,400 units in February

On Saturday, Maruti Suzuki India announced a slight year-over-year rise in total sales, reaching 1,99,400 units in February. Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) stated that the company sold a total of 1,97,471 units in the same month last year.
Total domestic passenger vehicle sales reached 1,60,791 units last month, compared to 1,60,271 units in the same month last year, indicating a slight year-on-year increase, it stated.
Sales of mini segment vehicles, including Alto and S-Presso, fell to 10,226 units compared to 14,782 units in the same month last year.
Sales of compact vehicles, such as Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR, increased to 72,942 units compared to 71,627 units in the same month last year. Utility vehicles, which include Grand Vitara Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, and Jimny, recorded sales of 65,033 units last month versus 61,234 units previously.
Last month, van Eeco sales reached 11,493 units compared to 12,147 units in February 2024, while light commercial vehicle Super Carry recorded 2,710 units, down from 3,126 units previously.
MSI reported that its exports for the last month reached 25,021 units, down from 28,927 units during the same month the previous year.
