The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially launched the NEET UG Counselling 2024, starting on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Aspiring medical students who have successfully cleared the NEET UG examination can now participate in the counselling process by submitting their applications through the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.
Candidates interested in securing a seat in medical, dental, or B.Sc. Nursing courses must complete their application by August 20, 2024, at 12 PM. The application process involves payment of various fees depending on the category of institutions they are applying to.
For those aiming for deemed universities, the application fee includes a ₹5,000 non-refundable fee and a refundable security deposit of ₹2,00,000. Conversely, applicants for the 15% All India Quota, Central Universities (including DU, AMU, BHU, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Delhi), AFMC, ESI, AIIMS, JIPMER, and B.Sc. Nursing programs are required to pay a registration fee of ₹100 for UR/EWS candidates and ₹500 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates. Additionally, a refundable security deposit of ₹10,000 is required from UR/EWS candidates and ₹5,000 from SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates. For instance, a UR candidate applying to Central Universities/AFMC/ESI will need to pay a total of ₹11,000 at registration, while SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates will pay ₹5,500.
The MCC will open the choice filling and locking window on August 16, 2024, which will remain accessible until August 20, 2024. The seat allotment process will be conducted from August 21 to August 22, 2024. The results for Round 1 seat allotment are scheduled to be announced on August 23, 2024. Following this, candidates who are allotted a seat must report to their respective colleges from August 24 to August 29, 2024.
Verification of candidates’ data by the institutes and the sharing of data by MCC will occur from August 30 to August 31, 2024. This verification step is crucial for confirming the authenticity of the data provided during the application process.
