Singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor has released her latest single, “Still Don’t Care,” a track that transforms the wave of cyberbullying she has faced into a message of resilience and self-confidence.
The song draws heavily from the negative comments Trainor has received online, particularly those targeting her appearance and recent health journey. She incorporates some of these remarks directly into the lyrics, confronting the criticism head-on before responding with a firm declaration of indifference in the chorus.
Trainor revealed that many of the hurtful comments came during the last two years, as she navigated lifestyle changes and public scrutiny over her weight. She admitted that the remarks brought her to tears at times, but writing the song helped her regain a sense of control. Describing the creative process as a form of “exposure therapy,” she said the track allowed her to reclaim power from the online negativity.
“Still Don’t Care” serves as the lead single from her upcoming album Toy With Me, set for release in April 2026. The song blends upbeat ’80s pop influences with layered harmonies contributed by her family members and Scott Hoying of Pentatonix, adding a personal touch to the production.
Alongside the single, Trainor also announced her “Get In Girl” 2026 tour, which she says will focus on celebrating personal growth and overcoming insecurity. The new era marks a confident return for the Grammy-winning artist, who is using her platform to address cyberbullying while encouraging listeners to embrace self-acceptance.
