Mia McKenna-Bruce, celebrated for her breakout role in “How to Have Sex” and recently crowned BAFTA Rising Star, has secured a pivotal role in the upcoming Netflix series “The Seven Dials Mystery,” based on Agatha Christie’s acclaimed novel. The announcement was made by Netflix via their social media platform X, heralding McKenna-Bruce as a central figure in the series alongside stars Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman.
Set in 1925, “The Seven Dials Mystery” promises to be a captivating blend of wit, drama, and suspense. The story unfolds during a luxurious country house party where what begins as a harmless prank takes a sinister turn. McKenna-Bruce will portray Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, an unlikely sleuth who finds herself embroiled in a chilling mystery that could alter her life forever.
The series, scripted by Chris Chibnall renowned for creating “Broadchurch” and his work on “Doctor Who,” is set to be a high-profile production under the executive production of Suzanne Mackie, known for her contributions to “The Crown.” Mackie’s production company, Orchid Pictures, has teamed up with Netflix for this venture, marking their inaugural series together.
Chris Sussman, known for his work on “Good Omens,” also joins as an executive producer, while Chris Sweeney, credited for “The Tourist” and “Back to Life,” will direct and co-executive produce.
