MP CM Mohan Yadav calls Japan trip ‘extremely pleasant, successful’

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav returned to India on Saturday following his four-day visit to Japan in preparation for the state’s investor summit. Yadav stated on social media platform X that the four-day trip to Japan was “very enjoyable and triumphant.”

This trip to Japan will open new avenues for investment in Madhya Pradesh, and the ties between the two nations will strengthen with Japan’s involvement as a partner country in the ‘Global Investors Summit’ scheduled for February in Bhopal, he noted.

Throughout his trip, which mainly focused on drawing investment for the forthcoming Global Investors Summit (GIS) set for February 24-25 in Bhopal, Yadav interacted with prominent industrialists and highlighted the state’s potential, encouraging them to invest in Madhya Pradesh. When he arrived in Tokyo on Tuesday, the Indian community warmly welcomed him, honoring him with traditional customs. Yadav participated in important meetings with the “Friends of MP-Japan” group and held an official conversation with India’s Ambassador to Japan, Sibi George. These conversations focused on enhancing industrial operations in Madhya Pradesh.

He also honored Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in Edogawa City with floral tributes and took part in a roadshow named “Celebrating India-Japan Relationship” at the Indian Embassy.

On the second day of his journey, Yadav engaged in talks with significant Japanese industrial organizations, such as Keidanren (Japan Business Federation) and JETRO (Japan Trade and Investment Organization). He also conferred with representatives from Toyota Motor Corporation to discuss possible collaboration opportunities.

On the third day, Yadav traveled to Kobe and Osaka. In Kobe, he encountered representatives from Sysmex Corporation. He additionally traveled to Panasonic Energy’s main office in Osaka to discuss possible investments.

Alongside these business engagements, Yadav took time to explore significant cultural sites such as Kinkaku-ji and To-ji temples, emphasising the rich cultural heritage of Japan while fostering relationships with investors.

On the final day of his trip, Yadav wrapped up his meetings with various stakeholders, reinforcing Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to becoming an investment-friendly destination.

He reiterated the state’s potential across various sectors, including power, auto, agriculture, tourism, mining, health, education, and IT.
