Salt Lake Affordable Art Fair 2025 Brings Bengal’s Creativity to the Forefront

The second edition of the Salt Lake Affordable Art Fair 2025 continues to shine as a vibrant platform celebrating Bengal’s rich artistic talent. The event, held at Aikatan Cultural Centre, brings together art lovers, creators, and cultural enthusiasts for a three-day immersive showcase of accessible and diverse artworks.

In his inaugural address, Mr. Debashis Sen, Founder-Director, New Bengal Consulting Ltd (Ex-IAS & Former Chairman – HIDCO) Guest of Honour praised the initiative for its cultural significance. He remarked, “Art has the unique power to connect hearts and minds beyond boundaries. Such platforms not only encourage creativity among artists but also help build a more compassionate and culturally vibrant society. I am delighted to see the participation of artists from all walks of life coming together under one roof.”

Curator Ms. Mallika Chanda, Founder of DAUGHTOR Art House, extended heartfelt gratitude to the participating artists, partners, and guests. She shared, “Our goal is to make art accessible to everyone — whether an emerging artist or a first-time buyer. The Affordable Art Fair is about celebrating inclusivity, diversity, and the spirit of Bengal’s creativity.”

The fair offers a dynamic blend of traditional and contemporary art forms, featuring original artworks at budget-friendly prices. With over a hundred participating artists, visitors can explore paintings, sculptures, mixed media works, and more. The event also provides interactive opportunities such as live portrait sessions, caricature art, pottery workshops, and artist interactions, making it an enriching experience for attendees of all ages.
