The Border-Gavaskar Trophy series between India and Australia will begin on November 22. Players from both teams along with the fans are excited for this much-awaited tournament.

Prior to the commencement of the season, veteran Australian bowler Nathan Lyon gave an interview to Star Sports in which he revealed the names of the players that he wants to take wickets of from the “amazing line-up” of the Indian team.

“Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant are probably going to be the three really big ones. But then you have still got Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and who else will come out–another five, I am not sure. But it is a pretty amazing line-up they have got, so it is going to be a massive challenge. As I said, if we, as a bowling group, are good enough for long periods, hopefully, we can challenge their defence.”

Virat Kohli’s test cricket record on Australian soil is pretty amazing as he has scored 1,352 runs at an average of 54.08 in 13 tests. He has scored six centuries and four fifties in 25 innings with his highest score being 169.

Rohit Sharma on the other hand has scored 408 runs in 14 innings with an average of 31.38 in Australia. The Indian skipper has scored three half-centuries in seven tests with the best score of 63*.

Lastly, Rishabh Pant has scored 624 runs in seven matches at the home of the Aussies and has an average of over 62 in 12 innings with a century and two fifties. His best score is 159*.

The first test of the BGT will be played at Perth between November 22 and 26. The second test is scheduled to be from December 6 to 10 at Adelaide Oval which will be a day-night match. The third match of the series will be played from December 14 to 18 at The Gabba in Brisbane.

The penultimate game will be on customary Boxing Day, from December 26 to 30 at Melbourne Cricket Ground. The final test is scheduled to happen at Sydney Cricket Ground between January 3 and 7.
