NHRDN’s 26th National Conference – “Beyond Tomorrow” sheds light on the Future HR Trend

April 8th 2024, Kolkata: The National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN) has concluded its 26th National Conference, titled “Beyond Tomorrow” with great success. This enthralling two-day event took place on April 5th & 6th at Hotel Taj Taal Kutir Convention Centre in Kolkata.

Under the theme “Beyond Tomorrow”, the conference aimed to encapsulate the future of human resources and navigate the intricacies of emerging work trends, anticipate the skills demanded by tomorrow’s workforce, and explore the transformative potential of innovative HR practices.

The delegates embarked on a journey of discovery, gaining insights from distinguished keynote speakers and engaging in enlightening panel discussions on the forefront of global HR trends. The inaugural address was delivered by Mr. Prem Singh, the National President of NHRDN and President, Group HR at JK Organization.

Prem Singh, National President, NHRDN & President, Group HR at JK Organization, stated, “As we gathered at the 26th National Conference of NHRDN, themed ‘Beyond Tomorrow’, our vision is clear: to chart a course towards a future where HR transcends conventional boundaries. Ranjan Banerjee, President, NHRDN Kolkata Chapter and Group Head of Human Resources at Berger Paints, along with Vinay Ranjan, Regional President, NHRDN East and Director Personnel at Coal India,  inaugurated the conference. The event also marked the launch of a new book by NHRDN.

It was a future-focused event, crystalizing the roadmap while envisioning the possibilities,” said Ranjan Banerjee, President, NHRDN Kolkata Chapter & Group Head- HR, Berger Paints.

Following the key note addresses, delegates experienced insights from top CHROs and HR leaders through several panel discussions. The leaders delved into the trends shaping the landscape ‘Beyond Tomorrow’, including discussions on balancing flexibility and connectivity within the hybrid work model, cultivating the skills needed for the future, and harnessing the potential of the gig economy. Other sessions explored cutting-edge themes such as leveraging AI for strategic insights, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), integrating blockchain in HR tech, redefining talent management strategies, enhancing employer branding efforts, addressing mental health challenges in the workplace, and reimagining leadership for the future, among many more.
