INOXGFL Group announced on Tuesday that the Odisha government has designated a land area for Inox Solar to establish a cell module manufacturing facility in the region.

According to a statement from INOXGFL Group, the suggested 4.8-gigawatt (GW) solar cell and solar module manufacturing facility will aid India’s renewable energy objectives and enhance industrial growth in Odisha.

Inox Solar, part of Inox Clean, announced today the allocation of land for a manufacturing facility for solar cells and modules in Dhenkanal, as stated by the Odisha government. Inox Clean belongs to the INOXGFL Group.

Earlier this year, INOXGFL Group revealed a Rs 4,000-crore investment via Inox Solar to set up a cutting-edge solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Odisha. The project, approved by the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA), is anticipated to create more than 3,400 jobs, thus boosting investment, generating employment opportunities, and aiding Odisha’s sustained economic growth.

According to industry sources, the land designated by the Odisha government spans approximately 78 acres.

“This investment aligns with our dream of transforming Odisha into a green energy powerhouse. By facilitating the establishment of a solar cell and module manufacturing plant, we are not only promoting sustainable industrial growth but also creating new job opportunities and boosting economic development across the state,” Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said.

Devansh Jain, Executive Director of INOXGFL Group, stated, “This strategic land allocation allows us to expand our solar energy footprint, reinforcing our commitment to India’s clean energy goals. By leveraging our expertise in renewable energy, we aim to deliver world-class manufacturing solutions that empower businesses and communities alike.
