According to Russian officials, throughout the course of an overnight onslaught, they shot down 144 Ukrainian drones across the nation, resulting in one woman’s death, the burning of residential buildings, and the suspension of flights in Moscow.
Several apartments in two high-rise residential buildings in Ramenskoye, in the Moscow region, were set on fire, according to Andrei Vorobyov, the governor of Moscow.
A 46-year-old woman passed away, three others were hurt, and 43 people were evacuated to temporary housing facilities in Ramenskoye, according to Mr. Vorobyov.

Although Ukraine has not yet responded to the assaults, the Kremlin stated on Tuesday that the incident demonstrated Ukraine’s adversary status.

In a daily call with reporters, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Kremlin, stated that the strike demonstrated why Russia had to carry on with its war in Ukraine, stating, “We must continue the military operation in order to protect ourselves from such displays of this regime.”
Of the 144 drones that Russia’s air defenses caught, the ministry of defense of the country earlier stated that half of them were above the Kursk region, 20 were in Moscow, and half were in the Bryansk western border region.
Four Moscow airports were closed as a result of the strikes, according to state media, and over thirty domestic and international flights to and from the Russian capital were canceled.

On Tuesday morning, Rosaviatsia, the aviation authority of Russia, verified via Telegram that three of the airports, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, and Vnukovo, had resumed duty.

In a related development, the Ukrainian Air Force said on Telegram that 38 of the 46 Russian-launched attack drones of the Shahed type were shot down by its air defenses.
A number of areas and cities, including Kyiv, Odesa, Kherson, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltova, had them shot down.
The air force also stated that Russia had fired an air-to-surface missile, the Kh-31, and a ballistic missile, the Iskander-M.

Drone raids throughout the night are frequently conducted on each other’s territory by Russia and Ukraine.

As Moscow claims victories in eastern Ukraine, there has been a recent wave of drone strikes.

Moscow claimed to have taken Memryk and Novohrodivka, two villages located 24 and 10 kilometers apart from the strategically important town of Pokrovsk, in the last two days.
