Pakistan’s Huge Call On Women’s World Cup In India, Report Says: Won’t Participate In…

According to Geo Super, Pakistan will not take part in the opening ceremony of the ICC Women’s World Cup, which is set for September 30 in Guwahati. Before the tournament’s inaugural match between the two hosts, India and Sri Lanka, a lavish opening ceremony is scheduled. Shreya Ghoshal, a well-known Indian singer, will captivate the audience with her lovely voice. Captain Fatima Sana and no other Pakistani delegate, according to sources who spoke to Geo News, would not be going to India to attend the inaugural ceremony.
Pakistan’s absence is thought to be related to a recent strategy that both countries implemented in the lead-up to the Champions Trophy. For the next three years, India and Pakistan will not be able to cross the border to participate in ICC competitions.
India hasn’t visited Pakistan since 2008 because of the two countries’ tense political ties. The Champions Trophy was held in Pakistan in February, however because of the geopolitical situation between the two neighboring countries, India, the eventual victors, declined to enter the border.
As a result, R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo will host all of Pakistan’s games. Colombo will host both games if they advance to the semi-finals on October 29 and the final on November 2. On October 2, Pakistan will launch its offensive against Bangladesh.
Pakistan’s women’s team qualified for the main event after winning the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup Qualifiers without losing. Pakistan qualified for the World Cup by hosting the qualifiers and winning all five games. On October 5, India and Pakistan will play each other.
Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Eyman Fatima, Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Sidra Amin, Sidra Nawaz (wicket-keeper), and Syeda Aroob Shah are the members of Pakistan’s squad for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025.
