PM Modi should also talk about drugs seized in Gujarat: Sanjay Raut
News Mania / Piyal Chatterjee / 6th October 2024
Sanjay Raut, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), refuted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claim on Sunday that the MVA administration had halted progress on the Mumbai Metro 3 line, stating that the party was not against development but rather wished to preserve the Aarey forest. Raut also retaliated against the PM, saying that the Congress, which is a part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), intends to use the money it receives from encouraging young drug use to win elections. He suggested that PM Modi address drug busts in Gujarat as well.
On Saturday, when in Maharashtra, Modi claimed that the MVA government, led by Uddhav Thackeray, was only aware of how to put off work. Due to ego, the Mumbai Metro 3 line project was abandoned, wasting taxpayer funds even though the project’s cost had increased by Rs 14,000 crore,” he claimed.
According to Modi, the MVA, which is made up of the Congress, Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP), also blocked the Atal Setu and Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train projects, as well as the state’s irrigation and water supply initiatives.
In response to a query regarding Modi’s comments, Raut stated that the Sena (UBT) wished to preserve the forest cover in Mumbai’s Aarey neighborhood. We have never objected to any kind of development. The Metro-3 vehicle shed at Aarey was opposed by the MVA government on the grounds that it would harm the green space.
Drugs valued at over Rs 3.5 lakh crore have been found at the Gujarati port of Mundra. He questioned why Modi did not address the drugs discovered at the port under Adani’s authority. Lalit Patil, the head of a drug ring, is accused by the Sena (UBT) of escaping from Pune’s state-run Sassoon Hospital while in police custody. He asserted that members of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s cabinet are connected to the narcotics ring. Regarding PM Modi’s Saturday visit to Washim in the Vidarbha area, Raut stated that although cabinet minister Sanjay Rathod has been accused of being the cause of a young woman’s death in Pune, he is permitted to share the dais with the prime minister.
He questioned, “Why is there no comment over it?” Raut also made fun of the BJP over Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda and a rape prisoner, frequently being granted parole. He is released on parole and runs as a BJP voter whenever there are elections in Punjab or Haryana. He questioned how Modi could put up with it. According to him, Modi has come to Maharashtra a lot. Mahayuti did not do well in the Lok Sabha elections, taking home only 17 of the 48 seats in the state. Six times, Modi opened sections of the same Pune Metro line. Raut continued, “I don’t understand how he does it.”
