PM Narendra Modi Seeks A Thorough Investigation Into The Collapse Of The Gujarat Morbi Bridge

The prosecution informed the magistrate court that the companies hired to restore the Morbi suspension bridge lacked the necessary qualifications. Four of the arrested suspects—two managers of the OREVA Group and two subcontractors who had rebuilt the bridge—were remanded in police custody until O by Chief Judicial Magistrate M J Khan. On October 25, the tragedy’s death toll reached 135 people.

In other events, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to the scene of the Morbi bridge collapse on October 25 to assess the situation. As he presided over a high-level conference to assess the situation, Modi declared that a deep and exhaustive investigation is necessary to determine all aspects of the Morbi bridge collapse disaster. Modi, who also visited the injured at the Morbi Civil Hospital, argued that the investigation’s most important findings ought to be put into practice as soon as feasible.
