PM Shri Modi Ji recently Inaugurated Extended (New) Metro Routes in Kolkata after an extensive inspection

Shri Deouskar, General Manager/Eastern Railway & Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy General Manager/Metro Railway , Conducted A Joint Inspection At Howrah Station Shri Milind K Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway and Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway jointly inspected at Howrah Station on 22.03.2024. Both the General Managers of Eastern Railway & Metro Railway thoroughly inspected the ongoing construction of approach towards Howrah Metro Railway Station of East – West metro and provision of passenger amenities in the area. Officials of KMRCL (Kolkata Metro Railway Corporation Limited) were also present during the inspection and took note regarding the requirements to ensure smooth passage of the passengers. Principal Officers of Eastern Railway including Shri Soumitra Majumdar, Principal Chief Commercial Manager and Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager, Howrah, Eastern Railway along with the Branch Officers accompanied the General Manager during inspection at Howrah station. Shri Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway advised all concern for monitoring the construction work so that the approach to the East – West Metro service right from Howrah Station can be easily accessed with no hurdles on the smooth entry and exit of the passengers at the Metro Station.
