POSCO Case filed against Jani Master

On Wednesday, September 18, the Narsingi police booked choreographer Shaik Jani Basha, also referred to as Jani Master, under the applicable sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.It has been alleged that Jani molested a female choreographer who collaborated with him.
The victim, who is 21 years old and was 16 in 2019 when the alleged attacks started, submitted a sealed cover report at the Raidurgam police station on September 11.
The case was initially registered under sections 376 (2) (punishment for sexual assault), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code.

After the initial FIR was filed, the matter was moved to the Narsingi police station.Following the filing of the FIR, Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party member and national award-winning choreographer Jani Master was cut off from party events. Since beginning to work with him six years ago, the victim claimed that Jani had been harassing and sexually abusing her.
She said that Basha sexually harassed and exploited her on every shoot or whenever the chance presented itself.The victim said that she was unable to find employment in the business and that she eventually turned to filing a police complaint.
In response to delays in the police inquiry, the Telangana State Commission for Women became involved in the case. The victim will receive police protection, per the committee’s directives, and a high-level monitoring committee will be established to look into similar incidents in the film business.
