Pregnant teen murdered  in Haryana

In Rohtak, Haryana, a pregnant teen from Delhi was allegedly murdered and buried by her boyfriend and two of his helpers because she wanted to marry him and retain the child, while he wanted her to have an abortion.

According to authorities, Sonia, a 19-year-old girl from Nangloi, West Delhi, was active on social media. She had over 6,000 followers and shared pictures and videos of herself with her lover Sanju, also known as Saleem. Her lover buried her in a four-foot-deep grave after her body was unearthed from a field in Rohtak, Haryana.

According to the authorities, she was adamant about marrying Saleem and was seven months pregnant. But he wanted her to have an abortion since he was unwilling to do so. She took a few items from her house and went to meet the accused on Monday because the couple used to argue about this a lot.

The culprit was taken into custody after the Delhi Police received a complaint on October 23. He admitted to the crime when being questioned.

The accused acknowledged planning the murder and enlisting his friends Ritik and Pankaj in the crime, the police said. They rented a car for the event and decided to perform on the day of Karva Chauth. Sonia met the accused in the Nangloi neighborhood that evening after leaving her house with her possessions. Following that, he drove her straight to Rohtak, where he is accused of strangling her and burying her body in the Rohtak forests before leaving for Delhi later that evening. Saleem and one of his accomplices have been taken into custody by the police, while the other is evading capture.
