President Approves Winter Session of Parliament from 1st to 19th December 2025

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju today announced that President Droupadi Murmu has approved the Government’s proposal to convene the Winter Session of Parliament from 1st December 2025 to 19th December 2025.
In a social media post, Mr. Rijiju stated that the Government is looking forward to a constructive and meaningful session that will further strengthen democratic processes and address the aspirations of the people of India.
The upcoming session is expected to take up significant legislative business, policy discussions, and key national issues as both Houses—Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha—work towards advancing the country’s development agenda.
The Winter Session traditionally plays a vital role in shaping policy discussions before the close of the year, and this session is anticipated to include deliberations on pending bills, financial matters, and policy reforms. Both Houses—Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha—will engage in debates, question hours, and discussions focused on governance, public welfare, and national development.
Members of Parliament have been requested to ensure their presence and active participation to facilitate smooth and constructive proceedings.
