Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an election rally at Japani Park in Rohini, Delhi, on January 6, 2025. During his speech, he criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), stating that the last ten years under their governance have been a “disaster” for Delhi.
He used a wordplay, referring to the period as “AAP-DA,” implying a calamity caused by AAP. Modi accused AAP of engaging in significant scams, such as the “Sheeshmahal” scandal, and assured Delhi residents that under a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, no public welfare schemes would be discontinued.He emphasized that only dishonest individuals involved in these schemes would be removed. This rally was part of BJP’s campaign efforts for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, aiming to garner support and present their agenda to the electorate.
