Raghu Ram calls his India’s Got Latent appearance ‘cathartic’

Actor and reality show judge Raghu Ram had made a guest appearance on Samay Raina’s program India’s Got Latent, just weeks prior to the latter removing all episodes of the show. During an interview that probably took place prior to the backlash over Ranveer Allahbadia’s joke, Raghu revealed that he considered his time on the show to be “cathartic”.

A clip of Raghu and his brother Rajiv Lakshman talking about comedian Samay Raina and his program India’s Got Latent has surfaced online. In the video, they discuss the series on the GPlus YouTube channel.

Raghu disclosed that he appeared on the notorious AIB Roast and also on India’s Got Latent, despite not being a comedian.

He stated, “The Latent experience was very therapeutic for me.”  He added that This is a large term, so allow me to explain why. After a long time, he sensed that he  had become more open. The atmosphere was so free-spirited, there were no limitations and you could enjoy yourself without any worries since, there, nobody treats you seriously. As the saying goes, ‘jaisa des, vaisa bhes’ (When in Rome, behave like the locals).

Samay Raina’s program, India’s Got Latent, has been creating excitement since it premiered. Currently, YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, is facing backlash for his jokes on the program. A controversy ignited on social media when he posed a question to a contestant asking if they would prefer to “observe their parents have sex for eternity or participate once and end it”. Ranveer apologized for his remarks.
