YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia visited Guwahati on Friday to meet with the Assam police as part of the continuing inquiry into his comments on Samay Raina’s ‘India’s Got Latent’ program. A viral video from that day seemingly depicts the podcaster being pushed by the police officers.

The Allahbadia was interrogated by the Guwahati Police for over four hours. The viral clip depicts him being led by several police officers up a staircase. Some shoving and tugging appears to be part of the situation. Allahbadia, who arrived in the city on Thursday night, faced the Crime Branch, which questioned him for several hours. He was alongside his attorney.

Joint Commissioner Ankur Jain directed the police team that interrogated Allahbadia, whose remarks on the YouTube program sparked a fury online.

“He reached the Crime Branch office around 12.30 pm and interrogation continued for over four hours. He has cooperated with the police and answered all our questions,” Jain was quoted by ANI as saying.

The officer said that Allahbadia has assured the police to extend his cooperation in the future as well and will come to Guwahati whenever he is called for the case.

“This is an ongoing investigation and four more people are yet to come. The three participants of the show, who have not appeared before us, have sent us emails that they are out of the country. We will send them notices again and will take action accordingly,” Jain added.

Numerous complaints were filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, widely recognized as BeerBiceps, throughout the nation due to his remarks about parents and sex. He shared those remarks while guesting on comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube program ‘India’s Got Latent’.
