REDEVELOPMENT OF TAMLUK STATION UNDER AMRIT BHARAT STATION SCHEME – A NEW ERA FOR INDIAN RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme signifies a concerted effort by Indian Railways to modernize its infrastructure in order to elevate the travel experience for millions of passengers. The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is a long-term plan to improve railway stations across India in a step-by-step manner. Altogether, 72 stations of South Eastern Railway will be development under this scheme. Detailed plans are made for each station and the work is done in phases, based on what each station needs. The goal is to make stations cleaner, more comfortable, and easier to use.
Tamluk station in East Midnapur District of West Bengal serves as a vital point for passenger and freight transportation. It is presently undergoing a massive transformation under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Tamluk, a key station on the Panskura-Digha branch line, boosts connectivity to Kanthi and Digha for tourism. The redevelopment of Tamluk Station of Kharagpur Division will provide improved more passenger amenities.
