Rishab Shetty Relocates to Native Village, Contemplates Children’s Education Choices

News Mania Desk / Piyal Chatterjee / 13th October 2025

Despite the massive success of Kantara Chapter 1, which has reportedly crossed the ₹400 crore mark at the box office, actor-director Rishab Shetty has chosen to relocate his family from Bengaluru to his native village of Kundapura. This decision reflects a desire to reconnect with his roots and provide a grounded upbringing for his children.

During the demanding production schedule of Kantara Chapter 1, Shetty found it challenging to be away from his family. To address this, he brought his wife, Pragathi Shetty, and children, Ranvit and Raadya, to Kundapura, where the film’s sets were being constructed. The children were subsequently enrolled in local schools, embracing a lifestyle closer to nature and tradition.

However, Shetty remains uncertain about the long-term implications of this move. While the village offers a serene environment, he acknowledges the potential limitations in educational opportunities compared to urban centers. As a result, he is contemplating whether to continue living in the village or consider relocating to a city that offers more advanced educational facilities for his children.

This decision underscores Shetty’s commitment to balancing his professional achievements with personal values, aiming to provide his family with a nurturing environment while also considering their future educational needs.
