Ruchika Gupta -President – Sanmarg Group, Commends Creative Vision at Salt Lake Art Fair

The much-awaited second edition of the Salt Lake Afforda ble Art Fair opened today at the Aikatan Cultural Centre, welcoming art lovers for a three-day celebration of Bengal’s vibrant artistic heritage. Scheduled from 7th to 9th November, between 1:30 pm and 8:30 pm, the fair brings together emerging and established artists to showcase creativity in its most diverse forms.

The event was graced by Guest of Honour Ms. Ruchika Gupta, President – Sanmarg Group, along with distinguished attendees who came forward to support and encourage Bengal’s art fraternity. Also present was Curator Ms. Mallika Chanda, Founder of DAUGHTOR Art House, whose vision and leadership have been pivotal in shaping the fair into an inclusive platform for accessible art.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Ruchika Gupta expressed her appreciation for the initiative, highlighting the importance of promoting local talent and making art approachable for all. She said, “Events like this play a crucial role in nurturing creativity and giving artists the exposure they truly deserve. The Salt Lake Affordable Art Fair is not just an exhibition—it is a celebration of imagination, culture, and community.”

Curator Ms. Mallika Chanda emphasized the fair’s mission of bringing art closer to people, making it both affordable and enjoyable for seasoned collectors as well as first-time buyers. Her efforts have helped create an accessible space where artists can connect directly with audiences.

Featuring paintings, sculptures, photography, mixed media works, and live demonstrations, the fair offers over 2000 artworks from more than 100 artists. Visitors can explore engaging live portrait and caricature sessions, pottery workshops, and interactive art activities designed to offer a hands-on creative experience.

The Salt Lake Affordable Art Fair 2025 stands as a vibrant tribute to Bengal’s artistic brilliance, strengthening the bond between artists and the community while reaffirming that art belongs to everyone.
