Saira Banu’s daughter AR Rahman speaks out about their split and denounces “fools” who are circulating false information.
To the surprise of many fans, AR Rahman and his wife Saira Banu announced their separation on Tuesday after 29 years of marriage. Together, the couple has three kids. Raheema Rahman, their daughter, has now responded to the rumors and conjectures that have been circulating since the announcement of the separation. Raheema responded to the critics and haters on her Instagram Stories by telling them to “get a life.”
In her Instagram Stories, Raheema shared a statement that read, “Always remember… Rumours are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” She then wrote, “Honestly, get a life.”
In a different Instagram Story, she included a crown emoticon on Rahman’s head and reported that he had won a Hollywood Music in Media Award for the Aadujeevitham background soundtrack. “You will always be our King and our leader,” she said in the post. The hashtags “haters gonna hate” and “potatoes gonna potate” were then added by her.
Rahman won the Best Score – Foreign Language Film award at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards 2024 for his work in The Goat Life (Aadujeevitham).
The music composer had penned an emotional note after he and his wife, Saira Banu, announced their separation. “We had hoped to reach the grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Even the throne of God might tremble at the weight of broken hearts. Yet, in this shattering, we seek meaning, though the pieces may not find their place again.
