‘Saiyaara’ Crosses ₹300 Crore Mark in 17 Days, Breaks Major Box Office Records

The romantic drama Saiyaara, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has achieved a major milestone by crossing the ₹300 crore mark at the Indian box office within just 17 days of its release. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film continues to perform remarkably well despite fresh competition from Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2. On its 17th day, Saiyaara added approximately ₹8.25 crore to its domestic total, pushing it past the ₹300 crore benchmark.

This marks a historic achievement for a debutant-led film, making Saiyaara the first such project in Bollywood to enter the ₹300 crore club. With this success, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda have outperformed several films headlined by major stars. The movie has now overtaken the lifetime domestic earnings of Salman Khan’s Sultan and the Deepika Padukone–Ranveer Singh starrer Padmaavat.

Moreover, Saiyaara has tied with Aamir Khan’s PK as the 13th fastest film to reach ₹300 crore in India, achieving the feat in just 17 days. The movie collected ₹175.25 crore in its first week and ₹110 crore in the second, with a strong third weekend adding further momentum.

Globally, Saiyaara has grossed over ₹485 crore, including ₹370 crore from India and ₹115 crore from overseas markets. It also marks the biggest box office success of Mohit Suri’s directorial career. The film’s sustained popularity and strong word-of-mouth have helped it maintain its position despite facing new releases.

With its powerful box office performance, Saiyaara has not only redefined the expectations from debutant-led films but also proven its mettle among some of Bollywood’s biggest hits.
