The worldwide feature film “The Eye,” which will be directed by Daphne Schmon, will star actor Shruti Haasan as the lead.
According to the industry news website Deadline, Mark Rowley of “The Last Kingdom” fame will star alongside Haasan in the psychological thriller from Fingerprint Content.
Haasan previously appeared in the American television series “Treadstone,” which was based in the same world as Matt Damon’s “Bourne” movie franchise.
Emily Carlton wrote the screenplay for The Eye. The main character of the narrative is a young widow who returns to the island where her husband passed away to scatter his ashes.
After discovering the potential cause of his death, she is tempted to make a horrible decision that might bring him back.
Anna Savva, Linda Marlowe, and Christos Stergioglou are also featured in the cast. Later this month, filming for the movie will begin in Corfu and Athens.
