
New Delhi: His Excellency Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of the Brazil, received a grand ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan during his State Visit to India.
The visiting leader was accorded a Guard of Honour in the forecourt of the President’s House, reflecting the warmth and strength of India–Brazil relations. The ceremonial reception was hosted by the President of India, along with senior government officials and dignitaries.






The State Visit underscores the growing strategic partnership between the two major democracies and key Global South nations. India and Brazil share strong cooperation across trade, defence, energy, agriculture, climate action, and multilateral platforms such as BRICS and the G20.
During the visit, high-level delegation talks are expected to focus on enhancing bilateral trade, expanding collaboration in renewable energy and biofuels, strengthening defence cooperation, and boosting people-to-people ties. Both sides are also likely to discuss global challenges, including sustainable development and climate resilience.
President Lula’s visit marks a significant milestone in diplomatic engagement, reaffirming the commitment of both nations to deepen their partnership and contribute collectively to global stability and economic growth.
