TCS Nashik Case: Key Accused Nida Khan Eludes Police; Husband’s Tip Leads to Locked Location
News Mania Desk/ Piyal Chatterjee/18th April 2026

Authorities investigating the high-profile case linked to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Nashik are continuing their search for Nida Khan, a key accused who remains untraceable days after the allegations surfaced. The case, involving claims of workplace harassment and alleged coercion related to religious conversion, has drawn significant public and legal attention.
According to police officials, Khan has been missing for nearly a week. During questioning, her husband informed investigators that she had left their residence on April 14 and was staying at a relative’s house. Acting on this information, police teams conducted a search at the location. However, upon arrival, they found the premises locked, with no sign of Khan’s presence, adding a layer of mystery to her disappearance.
Investigators have indicated that the husband’s statements have shown inconsistencies, prompting authorities to widen their probe. Multiple teams have been deployed to track down Khan, and officials are examining call records and other digital evidence to determine her current whereabouts. Police suspect she may be deliberately evading arrest as legal pressure mounts.
The case stems from complaints made by employees at the Nashik unit of TCS, alleging instances of harassment, coercion, and attempts at religious conversion within the workplace. Several individuals have already been taken into custody in connection with the matter, while Khan remains among the primary accused yet to be apprehended. The seriousness of the allegations has triggered a broader investigation into workplace practices and employee safety mechanisms.
In a parallel development, Khan has approached a local court seeking anticipatory bail. Her legal counsel has argued that the accusations have been exaggerated and maintained that she had merely engaged in conversations, denying any form of coercion or wrongdoing. The defence has also highlighted her pregnancy, urging the court to consider it as a humanitarian ground while deciding on her plea.
Meanwhile, TCS has issued a clarification regarding Khan’s role within the organisation. The company stated that she was not part of its human resources department, countering some earlier claims, and clarified that she held the position of a process associate without managerial authority. It further added that no complaints related to the alleged incidents had been registered through its internal grievance redressal system or under the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) framework.
As the investigation progresses, law enforcement agencies are examining the involvement of other accused individuals and assessing the overall extent of the alleged misconduct. The case continues to evolve, highlighting concerns around workplace conduct, legal accountability, and the challenges faced by authorities in tracking individuals in sensitive criminal investigations.
