Saiansh Tapuriah, a 14-year-old student from The Shri Ram School in Gurugram, has achieved remarkable recognition by winning the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Ignited Minds Children Creativity and Innovation Award for the 2023-24 period. This award highlights his innovative work aimed at enhancing the lives of epilepsy patients through technology.
Saiansh’s groundbreaking invention is a wearable device designed to assist individuals with epilepsy. The device is engineered to detect seizures and send an immediate alert to a caregiver’s mobile phone. Among a competitive field of 16,570 children nationwide, Saiansh stood out as one of the 14 awardees.
