At the current Paris Haute Couture Week, India took center stage as Gaurav Gupta exhibited a flawless collection that showcased both the rich Indian workmanship and his inventive sculpture. Even while his couture creations attracted attention, the traditional jewelry that was worn with the outfits was what really took center stage.

Temple jewellery, in particular, gleamed bright on Gaurav Gupta’s catwalk when a model strutted down in a dazzling yellow costume, piled with complex traditional pieces.

The model wore a synchronized head veil, a yellow corset, and a matching saree-inspired cut skirt. Elevating the appearance was a fantastic jewellery set by Indriya Jewels, with an ornate haar and a bajubandh. Paired with modern couture, the ensemble formed a remarkable combination of timeless karigari and contemporary style.

Gupta used sculptures from the Divine Androgyne series to explore the relationship between energy and consciousness for his new collection. The designer even dragged in his life partner Navkirat as a model for the show.

For his couture week collection, designer Rahul Mishra looked to the five elements of nature—earth, air, fire, water, and space. To match the couture items, he worked with Tanishq Jewels on jewelry. The jewels primarily went towards modern designs and also incorporated the current fad for desert diamonds.Pale-yellow diamonds, also known as desert diamonds, were once despised due to their low clarity grade in the conventional diamond system. However, due to their attractive appearance and popular vintage style, they are now a major trend. There’s no doubt that the moment temple jewelry took over Paris will never be forgotten.
