Thailand will celebrate the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism Year” in 2025 to boost its domestic and international tourism market .
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism Year” in 2025 to revitalise Thai tourism to prosperity in alignment with the Thai government’s ‘IGNITE THAILAND’S TOURISM’ vision.
Tourism plays critically important role in growth and expansion of Thailand ‘ s economy .
Thailand has announced new visa measures to boost Thai economy through travel and tourism. These include 60-day visa exemption and Visa on Arrival (VOA) schemes, Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), and student visas, which takes effect from 15 July 2024.
Thailand will grant visa exemption for nationals of 93 countries and territories including India. Visitors under this scheme will be allowed to stay for tourism and short-term business engagements for a period not exceeding 60 days, which can be extended for another period not exceeding 30 days.
Tourism play pivotal role in Thailand ’s prosperity and socio-economic development.
In 2025, “Thai Charms” and “Hidden Gem Cities” will inspire more travel across Thailand.
Thailand ‘s ‘five must-do activities’ will be diversified, including Must Taste – Thai food, Must Try – Muay Thai, Must Buy – Thai fashion and local products, Must Seek – new destinations and new travel experiences, and Must See – Thai festivals.
Recently , The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata, in collaboration with Tourism Authority of Thailand, New Delhi (TAT New Delhi), participated in Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) 2024, held from 12 – 14 July 2024, at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangran, Kolkata.
Consul-General of Thailand Ms Siriporn Tantipanyathep highlighted various aspects of tourism in Thailand .
Thailand offers diverse attractions such as cultural tourism, culinary delights, beautiful beaches, vibrant festivals, bustling shopping, lively nightlife, and much more.
Consul General mentioned in first half of this year, over 1 million tourists from India visited Thailand, making it the third-largest source of international tourists to Thailand in 2024. Consul General indicated about 2 million Indian tourist will visit Thailand by the year end.
