The Angry Birds Are Back with a New Adventure in ‘The Angry Birds Movie 3’

Fans of the iconic Angry Birds franchise have reason to celebrate as the makers have officially announced the third installment, ‘The Angry Birds Movie 3’. This new chapter promises to continue the thrilling adventures of the beloved characters Red and Chuck, once again voiced by the talented Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad. Known for their impressive work in popular films and TV shows like “Ted Lasso”, “SNL”, “Frozen”, and “Beauty and the Beast”, Sudeikis and Gad bring a familiar and exciting dynamic to the screen. Sudeikis is represented by Brillstein Entertainment Partners and TAG, while Gad is represented by Sugar 23, CAA, and JSSK.
The directorial reins of ‘The Angry Birds Movie 3’ will be in the capable hands of John Rice, who has a proven track record with projects like “Angry Birds” and “Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe”. The screenplay is entrusted to Thurop Van Orman, known for his work on “Angry Birds 2” and “Adventure Time”. Van Orman will also serve as an executive producer alongside Toru Nakahara, who has been involved in successful projects such as “Sonic the Hedgehog” and “Sonic Prime”.
The production team boasts notable names like John Cohen, who has produced hits like “Despicable Me” and “The Garfield Movie”, Dan Chuba of “The Mitchells vs. the Machines” fame, and Carla Connor from “The Willoughbys”. The returning design team includes Jeanie Chang as the production designer and Francesca Natale as the character designer, ensuring visual continuity and creative excellence. Vadim Bazhanov heads the story, while Sarah K. Reimers leads the editing team. The animation, storyboards, and art development will be handled by DNEG Animation, promising top-notch visual storytelling.
Rovio and SEGA are teaming up with Namit Malhotra and Prime Focus Studios to bring this exciting project to life. Malhotra expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m delighted to be partnering with Rovio, SEGA, One Cool, Flywheel, dentsu, and the incredible team of returning filmmakers and voice talent on this movie.
