The Bengal Files Box Office Collection Day 8: Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Bengal Files has failed to draw crowds to theaters even a week after its premiere. The movie is still waiting to make money at the box office, but it is anticipated that word-of-mouth will help it grow.
The Bengal Files made and estimated ₹55 lakh India net on Friday, the seventh day, bringing the total estimated India net earning to ₹11.8 crore, according to trade industry tracker Sacnilk.com. On Friday, September 12, the Bengal Files’ overall Hindi occupancy rate was 26.08%. The occupancy rate for the morning shows was 11.17 percent, and the afternoon shows were 23.67%. The occupancy rates for the night shows were 43.05 and the evening shows were 26.41%.
The cities with the greatest occupancy rates were Chennai (49%), Bengaluru (45.75%), Hyderabad (44%), Pune (36%), the National Capital Region (35.75%), and Jaipur (35%).
In India, the movie is having trouble reaching the ₹12 crore milestone. At the ticket booth, the movie clashed with Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 when it was released on September 5. The Bengal Files’ second week of showings experienced a dramatic drop in attendance nationwide. At the moment, there are less than 100 performances in one city or area. With 65 showings, Mumbai had the most screenings of The Bengal Files, followed by the Delhi NCR region, which came in second with 61 showings.
Following The Tashkent Files (2019) and The Kashmir Files (2022), The Bengal Files is the final installment in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Files trilogy. Known historically as “Direct Action Day,” the August 1946 communal riots in undivided Bengal serve as the backdrop for the movie. Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, and Mithun Chakraborty all play important parts in the ensemble cast.
