NCC Directorate West Bengal and Sikkim celebrated 75th NCC Day on 24th Dec 2023 inside Command Stadium Fort William. This event was organised by Group Head Quarter, Kolkata ‘B’. More than 800 Cadets, ANOs, Staff and Officers of Defence Forces serving with NCC attended the celebrations.
Maj. General Vivek Tyagi ADG NCC West Bengal and Sikkim Directorate has said on the occasion of NCC Day celebration that NCC will focus on military training with the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence) using drone technology to make the training more modern. The aim is to create a reservoir of trained, disciplined, and motivated youth for nation building.
NCC Cadets, Officers, ANOs and Staff were also felicitated for their exemplary performances in various NCC training and social activities.
As part of the celebrations various training activities like aero modelling, drone display, section battle field drill displays were performed by cadets. Dog Squad of Kolkata Police displayed their skill. A cultural event showcasing the cultural heritage of West Bengal was also presented by the Girls and Boys cadets.
