The Investigation Into The Significant Team India Matter Is BCCI President Binny’s Top Priority

As the T20 World Cup approached, injuries to all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah delivered India two significant blows. In the recent past, a number of prominent players have missed important series and tournaments due to injuries, including those players like Deepak Chahar and a number of minor or major niggles.

Roger Binny, president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has stated that he will make resolving this matter a top priority during his term in office.

“We need to figure out why and how our guys are suffering such severe injuries. We need to figure out why they are falling apart so quickly. Not only right now, but also throughout the last four and a half years,” Binny stated at a ceremony of congratulations held by the Karnataka State Cricket Association.

“It’s not that we lack competent instructors or trainers. Something needs to be done, regardless of how much work is being put on them or how many formats they are playing. My top priority is that. Ten days prior to the World Cup, a Bumrah cannot break down, leaving anyone to step in. It is crucial to confront it”, the 67-year-old stated.

In addition, Binny stated that the Ranji Trophy pitch quality and fan amenities in stadiums also need to be enhanced. The surfaces are still too soft; quick bowlers cannot use them. Infrastructure needs to be examined as well. For India games, 30–40,000 supporters fill stadiums; they need to be comfortable.

He responded, “The domestic players are adequately taken care of, therefore there is no need for central contracts like the ones India cricketers have. They stay in excellent locations and have amazing amenities. I don’t believe that is currently necessary”.
