The Legislative Assembly is a temple of democracy because it is here that laws for the welfare of the people are passed and important decisions are taken. Over the past 49 years, the rule of the Left Front and the TMC has tarnished this temple. From this very Assembly, the previous governments passed several resolutions that were anti-Centre and even anti-national.
Now, we must restore the Assembly to its rightful glory once again. The people have entrusted us with this great responsibility, and today we took an oath to fulfil it.”
