Hidden in a tranquil part of India, an astonishing beach has secured a place among Asia’s top 10 beaches — it’s not located in Goa, the country’s most renowned seaside destination. The recent release of TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best 2025 rankings highlights some of the most beautiful beaches that continuously earn favorable reviews from travelers year-round.
Leading the list is Banana Beach in Phuket, Thailand, accessible to visitors via a brief jungle hike. Situated on the northwest coast of the island, this concealed gem features golden sands, abundant greenery, and tranquil, clear waters — perfect for swimming and snorkeling. After Banana Beach comes Kelingking Beach in Indonesia and Haeundae Beach in South Korea. White Beach in the Philippines took fourth place, while Radhanagar Beach in India came in fifth.
The majority of Indian tourists seeking both beaches and nightlife travel to Goa. However, individuals seeking to enjoy serene moments at stunning secluded beaches and feel the thrill of water activities frequently opt for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Renowned for their pristine beauty, these islands attract visitors with their clear waters, white sandy beaches, and a tranquil retreat from the masses.
A truly breathtaking spot in this area is Radhanagar Beach located on Havelock Island. Frequently considered one of the top in Asia, it features fine white sand, azure waters, and stunning sunsets. Swimming, snorkeling, watching the sunset, hiking in the nearby woods, and observing wildlife — there’s plenty to enjoy here.
Radhanagar Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag certification, an international distinction granted to beaches that adhere to strict criteria for cleanliness, safety, and environmental conservation. In 2004, Time magazine listed it among the world’s finest beaches.
Radhanagar Beach is located on the western shore of Havelock Island, approximately 12 km from Havelock Jetty. Travelers can access it via ferry from Port Blair (1.5 to 3 hours), taxis, auto-rickshaws, rental motorcycles, or government buses departing from the jetty. The optimal period for visiting Radhanagar Beach is from October to May, and it is advisable to stay away from the beach during the monsoon season.
In addition to Radhanagar Beach, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands boast numerous other stunning beaches such as Elephant Beach (Havelock Island), Kala Pathar Beach (Havelock Island), Laxmanpur Beach (Neil Island), Bharatpur Beach (Neil Island), and Corbyn’s Cove Beach (Port Blair).
