‘This kind of honesty is rare’: Ibrahim Ali Khan celebrates his lisp in latest ad, wins over the internet

News Mania Desk / Piyal Chatterjee / 16th September 2025

It wouldn’t be incorrect to state that Ibrahim Ali Khan’s career has had a murky beginning. The fact remains that his first release, OTT hate watch fuel Nadaaniyan, was more meme fodder than cinema, and his second release, Sarzameen, also an OTT title, failed to make any impression despite the delicate and sad plot. Many may use the nepo card to deflect criticism of this assertion.

And still Ibrahim continues to power on! The actor is shown riding a stylish SUV while making a brief speech about flaws and the need of accepting them in a new ad clip he did for an Indian youth fashion brand that sells men’s casual clothing, accessories, and footwear. The firm is also co-owned by Virat Kohli.

Ibrahim says, “Some people are born gifted. And some, born imperfect. As for me, I was born imperfect. And that’s okay man. Perfection is just overrated yaar. So for all those of you who are born imperfect, welcome to the Wrogn world. Over here, we don’t judge, we don’t fuss, we accept each other for who we are, with all our strengths and all our shortcomings. Here’s to those who are born ‘wrong’. Stay mad, stay ‘wrong’ “.

It’s not hard to see why this particular message, coming from a ‘privileged’ ‘nepo baby’ such as himself, makes double the impact as Ibrahim puts his imperfection under the spotlight. A straight winner in our opinion — and fans seem to agree wholeheartedly.

Comments under the advertisement read, “So rare to see honesty like this in campaigns. Feels relatable and real🙌”, “In an era where filter and fakeness rule, it’s inspiring to see authenticity take the spotlight 👏”, “Never been more proud of you! ❤️” and “Love this. When everyone is busy projecting a flawless life, being honest about your flaws takes true strength” to quote a few.
