Three dead following Coast Guard helicopter crash in Porbandar, Gujarat.

On Sunday, a helicopter from the Coast Guard crashed at Porbandar airport in Gujarat, resulting in the deaths of three crew members, which included two pilots. The event took place at 12:10 pm, according to Porbandar Superintendent of Police Bhagirathsinh Jadeja.

Police reported that a Coast Guard Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) crashed while landing at Porbandar Airport at 12:10 pm. The accident happened during a standard training flight.

The helicopter, with three crew members on board, crashed at the Porbandar airport. According to officials, all three were saved from the debris and quickly taken to a hospital in Porbandar with critical burns. Inspector Rajesh Kanmiya of Kamala Baug police station confirmed that, despite medical treatment, all three crew members died from their injuries at the hospital.

Officials from the Indian Coast Guard confirmed the fatalities and stated that an investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway. “The Coast Guard stated in a statement that a Board of Inquiry is examining the causes of the incident.”  “We honor the three courageous individuals of the Indian Coast Guard who sacrificed their lives while serving the Nation,” it continued. The incident occurs merely two months after a different Coast Guard helicopter crashed into the ocean.
