Top artists to watch out for Lollapalooza this year

Each year, Lollapalooza India expands its worldwide reach by showcasing a blend of Indian and foreign performers. The music festival’s fourth iteration is scheduled for January 24–25, 2026, in Mumbai. Linkin Park, Playboi Carti, Khelani, and more international performers will be making their Indian debuts. In addition to including foreign performers, Lollapalooza India will also feature indigenous acts, bringing India’s indie revolution to the stage alongside the biggest names in the world. Tickets are available on BookMyShow for the event, which will be held at Mumbai’s storied Mahalaxmi Racecourse.

  1. Gini
    Gini, a rising independent singer-songwriter from Dehradun, is renowned for her narrative-rich songs and personal lyrics. When she was ten years old, she began playing music, and she never looked back. She is a self-taught musician who was nominated by The Indian Music Diaries for Best Debut Artist for her debut single, Falling Asleep. At the age of 19, she was added to Spotify India RADAR’s roster of artists. Gini promises a powerful performance at Lollapalooza India 2026 with songs like Sukoon and Naadani.
  2. Zoya

Zoya is a songwriter who combines North Indian musical traditions with pop and folk songs. She started creating songs at the age of twelve and later refined her skills at Berklee College of Music. She was born in New Delhi and grew up in California. Songs like “One Way” and “Bad Girls Dream” will be part of her cinematic performance.

3. Excise Department
Excise Dept was founded as a lighthearted experiment by Rounak Maiti, Siddhant Vetekar, Andrew Sabu, and Karanjit Singh during the 2020 lockdown. With songs like Baaro Mala, Sab Kuch Mil Gaya Mujhe Vol. 1, and Pardes, they are poised to bring India’s underground pulse to the main stage. They are renowned for their combination of hip-hop, folk, and experimental synth-funk.

  1. Nate08
    Nathan Thomas, often known as Nate08, combines futuristic electronic beats with funk grooves in songs like Primrose and Sunrise Sunfall. Top selectors’ playlists soon featured his songs like Sunrise Sunfall, Trigger Fool, and Want You, which are sure to transform the festival into one huge dance floor.
    5. The Gauley Bhai

    The ensemble, which was formed in 2017 during a jam session in a Bangalore studio by friends from Kalimpong and Kerala, consists of Joe Panicker on drums, Siddhant Mani Chettri on guitar, Anudwatt Dhakal on bass, and Veecheet Dhakal on violin and vocals. They combine West African folk customs, blues, rock, hip-hop, South Indian Singari rhythms, and Nepali folk.
