‘Uday Bhai’ and ‘Majnu Bhai’ Likely to Return as ‘Welcome 4’ Script Nears Completion

Producer Firoz Nadiadwala has confirmed that the script for the fourth instalment of the popular comedy franchise Welcome is currently in an advanced stage, raising expectations about the return of some of the series’ most beloved characters.

According to Nadiadwala, the upcoming film, tentatively titled Welcome 4, is being carefully developed to bring back the humour and characters that made the earlier movies hugely popular. He indicated that fan-favourite roles such as Uday Shetty and Majnu Bhai could return in the new film.

Actors Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor, who played the iconic characters Uday Shetty and Majnu Bhai respectively, are expected to reprise their roles if the project moves forward as planned. Their comic chemistry in the earlier films became one of the highlights of the franchise and helped create a strong fan following.

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who headlined the first film in the series, is also likely to be part of the upcoming project. Another key character from the franchise, Dr. Ghungroo, played by Paresh Rawal, may also return in the new instalment.

The original Welcome, released in 2007, became a major box-office success and developed a cult following because of its slapstick comedy, memorable dialogues, and quirky characters. The film’s unique blend of humour and chaotic storytelling turned several of its characters into pop-culture favourites.

While the final cast and production timeline for Welcome 4 have not yet been officially announced, the progress of the script suggests that the makers are actively working on expanding the franchise. Fans are hopeful that the return of the iconic characters will recreate the humour and entertainment that defined the earlier films.
