Union Budget ’24-’25  is  people centric with fiscal Sustainability : Rudra Chatterjee of FICCI

FICCI – West Bengal State Council, in association with EY, organized an interactive session, “Decoding the Union Budget” on 24 July 2024 in Kolkata.

During Interactive session ,  Union Budget was analysed from  Tax perspectives and its implications on various sectors . Mr Dinesh Agarwal,  Partner, Tax & Regulatory Services EY India spoke on implications on Corporate Tax while
Mr Avisekh Jaiswal,  Partner, Tax & Regulatory Services EY India spoke on implications on Indirect Tax .
 
Panel Discussion on Implications of Union Budget 2024-25  saw participation from

Union Budget 2024 -25  reflects Indian Government’s intention to scale up tax reform in big way as well as simplify tax laws and implementation processes to promote “ease of doing business” . Budget tried to address concerns of youths specifically employment generation. Budget  initiated measures to promote employment by new skill development  as technology evolution like AI creating serious challenges in traditional job markets. Budget has pushed for widespread infrastructure development lead growth across India. Budget has  tried to catalyse socio-cultural-economic evolution of India  through various tax reforms  and investment initiatives in various infrastructure development projects to create Viksit Bharat by 2047.
