West Bengal Highway Construction Projects See The Laying Of The First Stone By Nitin Gadkari

On November 17, the Siliguri area of north Bengal saw the laying of the cornerstone for three national highway projects totaling $1,206 crore.

The minister believed that a vital factor in advancing the north Bengal region’s tourism business is infrastructure development.

Additionally, Gadkari stated that additional infrastructure projects are in the works and that a bridge over the Teesta River will soon be constructed at a cost of 1,100 crores.

In addition to four other projects at Kharagpur in the West Midnapore district, the Union Minister is set to lay the cornerstone for two further national highway projects at Raiganj in Uttar Dinajpur.

Nitin Gadkari opened a highway earlier today, which is expected to cut the time it takes to travel from Delhi to Bihar by at least 10-15 hours.

South Bihar and the nation’s capital Delhi are connected by the 92-km-long, four-lane Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh.
