WhatsApp Begins Testing Sticker Reactions for Messages and Media

WhatsApp is developing a feature that enables users to respond to messages and media with stickers. The platform currently allows emoji reactions, permitting users to convey their emotions about a message by choosing any available emoji in the app.
Currently, WhatsApp is said to be introducing “sticker reactions” for messages and media files within its Android application. The characteristic has been observed in the newest WhatsApp for Android beta update 2.25.13.23, which can be accessed through the Google Play Beta program, and testers are unable to utilize the feature since it is still under development.
As stated in a blog entry by feature tracker WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is set to enable users to respond to messages and media with stickers. This would enable users to swiftly share a reply to a message without having to type one out.
The new function is said to accommodate the entire selection of stickers found in the sticker keyboard, including those acquired from WhatsApp’s official Sticker Store.
According to the feature tracker, users will be able to utilize third-party stickers imported via external applications, in addition to stickers they have saved earlier. Animated stickers will be available as responses, including those created with the Lottie Framework. By adding animated stickers, WhatsApp intends to improve reactions with more vivid and lively visuals compared to conventional static emojis.
